The chamber music booklets contain a wide range of compositions, for flute, oboe, piano, organ and harp; for voices, duets and accompaniment.
Each composition is in itself a jewel, born out of inner impulses, of meetings, of requests from musicians, as an answer to deeply moving experiences. Our experience of this music gives some understanding of what formed the composer in his life and how his art developed. In each piece there is an spiritual atmosphere that is encountered in all works of Hidayat Inayat-Khan; an extraordinary synthesis of fineness of Indian Ragas and the deepest understanding of Western instruments and musical forms.
